As an Account Manager on our sales team, you'll play a key role in expanding our presence across both new and existing markets. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for actively developing your territory by building strong relationships, identifying and pursuing new growth opportunities, and helping clients discover the Yokohama products that best support their success.

As a true ambassador of our brand, you will actively contribute to sales growth by presenting tailored solutions, understanding customer needs, and supporting clients throughout their journey—ensuring they feel confident and well-supported in choosing us.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and nurture strong relationships with current and prospective customers, actively growing our presence within your territory.
• Act as a trusted point of contact—resolving issues, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate closely with teams across sales, marketing, distribution, technical services, and accounting to deliver seamless solutions.
• Develop a deep understanding of customers’ business needs and effectively communicate the value proposition of our products, demonstrating how their features and benefits can address specific customer needs and deliver meaningful business value.
• Represent Yokohama at trade shows and conventions, actively generating leads and new business opportunities.
• Analyze customer potential and proactively identify and pursue new opportunities for growth.
• Ability to analyze and integrate multiple performance indicators and technical data (such as cost per kilometre, downtime, tire wear, and mechanical component wear) to identify specific customer challenges, recommend the most appropriate product solutions, and clearly articulate their value proposition based on the customer’s business needs and objectives.
• Forecast tire needs in your area to align with demand and business goals.
• Stay up to date on industry trends, product innovations, as well as competitive and industry activities.
• Drive new business through proactive outreach, prospecting, and lead generation activities.
• Support the resolution process for tire warranty claims, ensuring clear communication and customer care.
• Provide regular reports on sales performance, pipeline, and forecasts to management.

Qualifications and Assets

• College diploma or degree in a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, including supplier relationship management
• Ability to conduct on-site inspections at customer and partner locations, which may require squatting or bending to inspect tires, assess their wear and compliance, and perform adjustments as needed.
• Knowledge of the tire industry (a strong asset), especially in the commercial/TBS segment
• Experience in the automotive, transportation, or retail industry

Working conditions

• Willingness to travel across Ontario. This role is primarily field-based and requires regular travel to meet clients, drive business development, and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Flexible working hours within a Monday to Friday daytime schedule, with occasional adjustments based on customer needs or specific sales initiatives. Enjoy the benefits of a hybrid work model, with the option to work from home when not traveling.
• An attractive compensation package with expected total on-target earnings (OTE) of $80,000–$100,000, including a base salary starting at $70,000, with the potential for a higher base salary based on experience and qualifications, plus performance-based commissions, comprehensive individual and family benefits, and an employer-contributed retirement plan.
